On July 27th Shri Venkateshwara University celebrated its 24th foundation day with full fanfare & fervour which coincides with the birthday of our Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri. The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, announced over a dozen welfare schemes for the people of Meerut, Amroha & other districts of UP west. These are educational & healthcare schemes for the underprivileged sections of the society. On this occasion, we held a blood donation camp, rudrabhishek, cultural shows, a tree planting drive, and over a dozen other programs. The students & staff donated blood & collected 156 units of blood to save the life of the needy. The Venkateshwara Family celebrated the 52nd birth anniversary of our Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri by cutting a 52 kg cake. We promoted environment protection by planting 2500 shady & medicinal plants in & around the campus. Shri Venkateshwara University organized an On Campus Placement Drive wherein New Allen Berry Works Ltd, a reputed automobile company, shortlisted 42 students. Over 300 students from the Gajraula & Meerut campuses took part in the On Campus Placement Drive.   After 3 rounds of selection process, the company shortlisted 42 candidates & along with the college management gave them offer letters. These candidates will join the service on August 2nd. Allen Berry Works Ltd is a reputed automobile company of the prestigious Birla Group. The company shortlisted these candidates for the Junior Engineer & Engineer profiles. The Venkateshwara Group has placed 972 students in the current academic session. On July 21, Shri Venkateshwara University held its 9th Convocation ceremony, awarding degrees and medals to over 200 MBBS and PhD scholars for their exceptional performance. The Chancellor Dr Sudhir Giri exhorted the researchers & Doctors to offer their services to the remotest hamlet by helping the needy & poor. This will lead to nation development & will be my real Guru Dakshina he said.
