  Shri Venkateshwara University , along with Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) and VGI Meerut, hosted a national seminar on World No Tobacco day. The seminar dwelled upon awakening the masses & specially the youth about the ill effects of smoking and tobacco use. Over a dozen renowned Doctors apprised about the adverse effects of smoking and tobacco use & how it’s a silent killer. We carried out an awareness rally to ban smoking and to prohibit it in the country. The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, Dean Academics Dr Sanjeev Bhatt, & Dr Atul Verma inaugurated the seminar by lighting a lamp to goddess Saraswati. It was a day of momentous achievement for the Venkateshwara Group. Vishwajeet Sheoran an M.tech (Civil) & 2021 pass out of the Shri Venkateshwara University secured 126th rank in the UPSC 2022 civil services examination. In honour of Vishwajeet achievement, Dr Sudhir Giri gifted him and his parents a shawl and memento. It was a memorable day for the Venkateshwara Group. The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, appointed senior Scientist Dr VPS Arora as the Chief Advisor for the Venkateshwara Group. Dr VPS Arora, after assuming charge, vowed to make Shri Venkateshwara University among the top 10 higher education institutions in the country.
