Shri Venkateshwara University’s VIMS celebrated World Red Cross Day by collecting 242 units of blood.
On the occasion of World Red Cross day, the Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) along with VGI Meerut, organized blood donation camps & collected 242 units of blood.
We
organized these camps in Meerut, Amroha, Bijnor, Baghpat, Moradabad & over
a dozen districts & educated people about the benefits of donating blood.
On this
occasion, we felicitated 88 donors with a memento & certificate who donated
blood.
This
included Medical/Paramedical, Nursing & other staff members who voluntarily
donate blood.

Bhatnagar, Blood Bank In charge Dr Naushad Ansari & Dr Ana Brown
inaugurated the Blood donation seminar & donors felicitation ceremony by
lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
Dr Sudhir

Group, reiterated that blood donation is the biggest donation of all &
if 1 percent of the population vows for organ donation, then countless number
of people will have a new lease on life.

Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi informed we celebrated World Red Cross day as a
festival & organized blood donation camps in over a dozen districts of
western UP, including Meerut, Moradabad, Amroha, Bijnor & Baghpat.
Dr Garima
Bhatnagar stated that if every healthy person donates blood, then we can save 5
lakh lives that are lost because of accidents, surgeries, & other
causalities that cause immense blood loss.
Dr Saurav
Kansal, Dr B B Bora, also addressed the blood donation seminar.
Those
present included the CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, Former Uttarakhand Minister Dr
Pradeep Bhatt, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr B B bora
& Dr Pankaj Deol.
Also
present were Dr Ikram Elahi, Dr Prateek Bajwa, Abhishek Hooda, Poline, Farheen
Jahan, Deepak Verma, Dr Ana Brown, S Baghel, Neetushree Pal, Arun Goswami,
