Shri Venkateshwara University collaborated with VIMS Multispecialty hospital, for a mega blood donation camp on World Blood Donor Day.

 









Shri Venkateshwara University, VIMS Multispecialty hospital, Jubilant India Foundation & VGI Meerut collaborated for a mega blood donation camp on World Blood Donor Day.

We organized the blood donation camps at three locations wherein the locals, along with the students & teachers, donated 288 units of blood.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, VP of the Jubilant India Foundation Mr. Vivek Prakash, & the Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi inaugurated the blood donation & award ceremony by cutting a ribbon.

After the blood donation camp, the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi along with Mr. Vivek Prakash felicitated the donors by giving them a trophy and a certificate.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated blood donation is the biggest donation of all because by donating blood we give a new lease of life not only to the recipient but his entire family.

Mr. Vivek Prakash from Jubilant stated that donating blood four times a year can prevent over 10 lakh deaths due to blood loss caused by accidents, critical surgeries and other reasons.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi announced the Venkateshwara Group created a record by collecting over 1500 units of blood in 46 blood donation camps in 1 year alone. We organized these camps in Meerut, Amroha, Bijnor, Moradabad & other districts of UP west.

Those present included the CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, MS Dr I B Raju, Blood bank in charge Mr. Naushad, Blood bank Superintendent Farheen Jahan, Deepak Verma, Anuj Chaudhary & Bharat Parashar.

Those representing Jubilant included Dr A S Foghat, Dr Nitin Rai, Dr Samir, & Dr Sumit Garg.

Noticeable with his presence was the Meerut campus Director Dr Pratap Singh, and the Media In charge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
