Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival uniquely with children from various schools tying protection bands on the wrists of University officials..

This is under the Raksha Sutra Programme as envisaged by the Honourable CM of UP Mr. Yogi Adityanath.

The children celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying protection bands and putting tilaks on Pro Chancellor Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, SDM Dhanora Mr. Rajiv Raj, and DSP Mr. Vijay Rana..

As per the directions of the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, we took the children for a campus tour and offered sweets and gifts as part of the Raksha Bandhan celebrations.

Raksha Bandhan is a significant festival in the life of Indians because of its historical and mythological essence.

  It was a momentous day for Shri Venkateshwara University as Dr Ram Yash Singh Joined as Director (Security & Administration). Dr Singh is a retired police officer who was Police Superintendent at Siddhartha Nagar, Banda, Bahraich & many districts. He was SP (City), SP (Crime), SP (rural) and Additional SP at over a dozen districts and comes with rich experience of security & administration.
